Vaquita

Safari ltd ----- One of many unique species made by Safari is this vaquita. It is one of three vaquita models available and it is the biggest. It's a good sculpt with the smile and the slightly falcate dorsal fin, and the paintjob is also pretty good with a light silvery shine to it. Length 10 cm

Naturalism ----- The smallest cetacean species warrants a tiny model and Chinese company Naturalism delivered on that. The smallest model in my collection, this thing is just adorable! For such a small scale you cannot expect too much detail but overall the figure, especially the face, is quite good too. Length 4 cm

Missing: US Yowie

Finless porpoise

CBIOV female ----- The company CBIOV has only made a couple of animal figures, a family of Yangtze finless porpoises being among them. This one is the cow/female, the male is a lot harder to find (at least for a decent price). The sculpt is very accurate and detailed, note the ears. Length 12 cm

Play Visions ----- This guy looks like he came out of a Minecraft game with his square-ish features. The face doesn't look very much like that of a finless porpoise. This figure came in two colour versions, the other being a dark blue and white one. Length 7,3 cm

Missing: CBIOV male

Harbour porpoise

K&M/Wild Republic ----- There is no name stamped on this figure nor can I find what Wild Republic calls this figure, but I think a harbour porpoise fits it best. It lacks a pronounced beak and the triangular dorsal fin sits in the middle of its back. The figure isn't very detailed, at least any detail it may have had got lost in the moulding process. It looks and feels rather cheap, but if it's indeed a harbour porpoise it's certainly unique. Length 5,7 cm
